OUR PLANNER:

PLANNEROrganisation is not everyone’s key strength. In times of stress and panic, we often focus on the task at hand and prioritise our studies oversleep and exercise. I, myself am guilty of this! When I am panicked, the thought of creating a timetable or updating my diary sounds like a waste of time. However, by taking the 10 minutes to create a plan and schedule my week I quickly regain control and my stress levels reduce.

For the time poor, I have shared my personal planner on this blog. On this gloomy Sunday, I encourage you all to take 5 minutes to fill the blanks in with your own schedule, and approach Week 11 calm and organised. Of course, this approach will not appeal to all, but this post is especially targeted towards students who believe this is unnecessary- you may surprise yourself.

Some may view bed at 10 pm as unrealistic. However, a study by the University of St Thomas, reported in Good Health Magazine (October 2018) found students who sleep less than the recommended 8 hours/night are 10% more likely to drop the course and grades decreased by 0.02. By prioritising sleep your attitude towards your studies will improve and therefore, as highlighted by this report, your academic performance will also likely increase.
